Commission for campaign to release Manuel from deportation proceedings and keep him in the United States. On May 30, 2012 Manuel Juarez Cortez was returning home from work when his car broke down. When pulling off to the side of the road to check the vehicle, a policeman stopped to help, but then arrested Manuel for driving without a license. In North Carolina, you cannot get a license if you are undocumented. His order of deportation was cancelled but his case is pending.
